Ballard said candidates don’t have to have head-coaching experience and he’s not ruling out looking at college coaches.

A healthy Luck makes the Colts’ head-coaching opening one of more enticing jobs available. He led the Colts to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons while taking every meaningful snap.

The Colts have already requested permission to interview New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Carolina defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard plans to undertake a thorough job search, and Irsay will get involved once the list gets down to the final 2-3 candidates.

One thing Ballard made sure to emphasize was that candidates who want the job strictly for Andrew Luck is “probably not going to be the right fit.”

Broncos president of football operations and general manager John Elway has promised an overhaul at the position. Hines Ward named ambassador for 2018 Winter Olympics

Hines Ward is going to the Winter Olympics.

The former Steelers receiver was named as an ambassador for the 2018 Games in PyeongChang. Ward, 41, was born in Seoul to a Korean mother and American father, but raised in Georgia.

“I have been blessed during the years of playing football and I am honored to be able to give back in some way to the Republic of Korea by supporting the Winter Games,” Ward said in a statement released Tuesday. “It is going to be an amazing event and a fantastic chance to see the world’s Hanson Brothers Cheap Jerseys top winter athletes perform in Korea.”

To return to form, Schwarber knows he’s got to learn to use the whole field while hitting.

“I want to work the middle of the field, do things like that,” Schwarber Jerseys Supply told the Tribune. “I don’t want to be known as just a swing-and-miss kind of guy. I want to be a guy who hits .300 and can hit home runs, but a guy who can hit .300 first.”

So far, Schwarber’s approach is working against minor-league pitching. He’s hitting .391 (9-for-23), with four home runs, four walks and nine strikeouts at Triple-A. Those numbers have led some to speculate his return to the Cubs — who could certainly use more offensive pop — will happen sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, Schwarber is remaining positive about his plight.

“This is a part in your career where you figure out who you really are, and I’m not the one who is going to back down from a challenge. I embrace it,” he said.
