John Elway getting Broncos’ QB right will make Vance Joseph hiring work

Among the many things John Elway habitually gets right while running the Broncos, is hiring head coaches. Thats a good omen: He started with John Fox, he replaced Fox with Gary Kubiak, between them they went 1 for 2 in Super Bowl trips and Vance Joseph now steps into their shoes.

For Joseph to fully continue in their footsteps, though, Elway has to jumpstart his success with quarterbacks. Joseph inherits the quest to replace Peyton Manning. Theres no other honest way to put it. Thats going to be the biggest factor determining Josephs success: filling the huge gap at the one position thats seriously lacking.

Thats really what kept the Broncos from even getting a chance to repeat as Super Bowl champs in 2016. That defense was still that defense. Whatever Joseph does in his new gig whether he expands on his previous defensive coordinator position and puts his own coaches in place, or lets Wade Phillips keep the reins theyre almost failure-proof.
But they need Trevor Siemian or Paxton Lynch to raise their games. Or they need to add a quarterback who will.

Scott Linehan, offensive coordinator, Cowboys: The Broncos’ Tony Romo Cheap Embroidered NFL Jerseys trade rumors already are in progress. But while it would take a lot of financial creativity to make that happen, getting Romo’s OC wouldn’t be a mere consolation. Linehan’s delivery of an elite, run-heavy offense and rapid development of Dak Prescott are very attractive for the potential of working with either Siemian or Lynch.

Anthony Lynn, offensive coordinator/interim head coach, Bills: The Cheap Football Jerseys Broncos are much better built to win with ground and pound than Buffalo was. That’s exactly why Lynn needs to be in the mix.
